Spelman College + Morehouse College / Homecoming 2026
SUNDAY BELONGED TO SPELHOUSE.
The October 7-11 SpelHouse program closed with Morehouse's 34-23 win over Savannah State after weather pushed the game from Saturday to Sunday.
The calendar changed; the result is Sunday
Morehouse's homecoming football game was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10. The official retrospective says weather postponed it to Sunday, October 11, when the Maroon Tigers defeated Savannah State 34-23 at B.T. Harvey Stadium.
Savannah State's current schedule independently records an October 11 loss, 23-34, at Morehouse. That played-game date takes precedence over the earlier Saturday listing. Morehouse built its start around 21 first-quarter points, while Savion Red supplied three touchdowns.

A shared homecoming program
The published Morehouse homecoming program ran October 7-11 and connected both sides of SpelHouse: the opening jam and Market Friday/Yard Show were listed at Spelman College Oval, while a Morehouse concert/fashion show appeared on the Thursday program.
The same official program listed alumni gatherings and a mentoring breakfast alongside the shared campus events. Its revised Sunday listing and the completed football reports preserve how the weekend changed before Morehouse earned the final result.
